Short bio about what you do for a living:
To keep it simple I’m a logger, I work for Chinook Forest Products where we specifically make telephone poles which I classify and buck according to the poles dimensions.
What kind of riding do you typically do?
Normally trails that are faster and have some hang time involved are my go to. But I honestly like anything to do on two wheels.
What does your dream trail look like?
Fast, lofty jumps, steep loam sections and beautiful berms.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Typically a mix of hip hop, metal, a bit of electronic and a dash of alternative. Anything but country honestly.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Wake up at 6:00 make a coffee and get the fire going. Work from 7-4. Then weather pending I take the dogs for a ride, run or walk. Make some food, try and chill a bit/tidy the house. Have a big stretch and normally get to bed around 11:00.
How did you get into riding?
When I was 7 my step dad at the time took me out for a trail ride and I rode my first log ride and then we watched kranked 1-3 that night and that was it. Bikes were number one from that point on.
What are your strengths?
On the bike I’d say I’m comfortable getting air born and pretty smooth. On a normal human level I think I’m pretty personable and good at getting people out of there comfort zone.
What are your weaknesses?
Definitely technical climbing, and I think I could be a lot better at cornering. Outside of riding, I think I’m overly critical of myself and can talk to much sometimes.
What are your plans for 2021?
I’d really like to get at least two videos out, and continue to keep lots of photos coming. And really just being able to ride a lot this year. Really hyped for the bike park and DJ scene to ramp up. And I’d really like to get a few tricks under my belt as I’m planning on building a big mulch jump at my place this spring.
Who or what inspires you?
I feel like it’s always changing with different riders and sports. I find that if it resonates with how I see things and I can feel the passion, wether it’s the music, riding style, filming style or how a photographer captures that exact moment. I try to pull from lots of different outlets. Some of my go to things are Nathan Williams edits, anything from the Coastal Crew or the Ride or Die guys on the Coast, Fest series, and watching Lords of Dog Town is always a classic.
What do you enjoy outside of biking?
I really love hiking and camping in the backcountry. I have also developed quite the green thumb over the past few years and really enjoy the process of growing my own food. And I love skateboarding around town and bombing hills, I’m trash at it but it’s a great time pushing around.
What's your favorite motto or saying?
Keep it simple stupid.
What's your Pet Peeve?
Bad drivers.
What gets you stoked?
Riding with people who are way better than me and seeing how they ride tends to get the stoke on quickly.
Favorite food?
All food is my favourite.
Any weird routines or superstitions?
It’s not really a weird routine but I have to stretch every night or else my body and mind don’t function very well. And not really a superstition but I believe in Karma. It will always come around.
Favorite non-bike website?
