Warranty Policy

Forbidden Industries Ltd  - PRODUCT WARRANTY NOTICE

Forbidden Bike Co. warrants each new Forbidden bicycle frame against defects in workmanship and materials for 5 years from the purchase date of the original owner.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Improper assembly.
  • Improper follow-up maintenance.
  • Installation of parts or accessories not originally intended for, or compatible with, the frames as sold.
  • Damage or failure due to accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect.
  • Labour charges, shipping or other transportation charges for part replacement or changeover.
  • Paint and graphics after the 120 day period immediately following the original purchase date.

This warranty is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of a defective item and is the sole remedy of the warranty. Your replacement item will be the same or similar frame model, and at the sole discretion of Forbidden Bike Company. We cannot guarantee you will receive the same color item as the original item it is replacing.

If we cannot determine if the product is defective without the product being returned to us, you are responsible for the cost of shipping and handling to return the damaged product to us. If when the damaged product is returned to us, we then determine that the product is defective, we will pay for the shipping to return the repaired or replaced product to you. If we can determine that the product is defective prior to the product being returned to us, we will pay for shipping and handling fees to return the damaged product to us and to return the repaired or replacement product to you.

This limited warranty also does not cover third party components on any Forbidden Bike Company bicycle. Third party components may be covered by their respective manufacturer’s warranty. For warranty  service for third party components, please contact the respective manufacturer. Should the manufacturer require that you process such warranty claim through the business from whom you purchased the third party component, please contact either our authorized dealer or our customer service team, and our authorized dealer or we will be able to provide assistance and facilitation of such warranty claim.

This warranty does not apply to damage caused by:

  • collision
  • crashing
  • trick riding
  • riding with heavy loads
  • commercial activities
  • any similar activities or misuse; 

Such uses may damage the bicycle, can cause serious injury to the rider, and in all cases will void this warranty.

This warranty is void in its entirety by any modification of the frame, or it’s components.

This warranty extends from the date of purchase, applies only to the original owner, and is not transferable.

Claims under this warranty must be made through the point of sale. Proof of purchase is required.

This limited warranty is the only warranty applicable to Forbidden Industries Ltd.

 

CRASH REPLACEMENT POLICY

In the event that a damaged bike frame is determined by us to not be the result of a manufacturing defect, we will make a replacement product available to you at a reduced price, subject to product availability and at Forbidden Bike Company’s sole discretion.

You are responsible for the cost of shipping and handling to return the damaged product to us and to ship the replacement product to you. Any damaged product which is replaced under this crash replacement provision becomes the property of Forbidden Industries Ltd.

Forbidden Industries Ltd - AVIS DE GARANTIE SUR LE PRODUIT

Forbidden Bike Co. garantit chaque nouveau cadre de vélo Forbidden contre les défauts de fabrication et de matériaux pendant 5 ans, à compter de la date d'achat par le premier acheteur.

CETTE GARANTIE NE COUVRE PAS:

  • l'usure normale;
  • assemblage inadéquat;
  • un mauvais entretien;
  • Installation de pièces ou d'accessoires non destinés ou compatibles avec les cadres vendus;
  • les bris et dommages dus à un accident, à une utilisation abusive ou à de la négligence;
  • les frais de main-d'œuvre, d'expédition ou autres frais de transport pour le remplacement ou le changement de pièces.

Cette garantie est strictement limitée à la réparation ou au remplacement d'un article défectueux et constitue le seul recours de la garantie.

Cette garantie ne couvre pas les composants d'une marque tierce montés sur un vélo Forbidden Bike Company. Il peut y avoir une garantie du fabricant tierce s’appliquant sur les composants d’une autre marque. Pour ces questions garantie pour les composants de marque tierce montes s'il vous plaît leur contacter directement. Si le fabricant demande que ces enquêtes soient faites à travers un entreprise vous pouvez contacter un de nos détaillants ou notre équipe de service à la clientèle pour faciliter la garantie.

Cette garantie ne s'applique pas aux dommages causés par:

  • une collision;
  • une chute;
  • une utilisation risquée pour accomplir des sauts et figures acrobatiques;
  • une surcharge du vélo;
  • des activités commerciales;
  • toute autre activité similaire et/ou une mauvaise utilisation.

De telles utilisations peuvent endommager le vélo, causer de graves blessures au cycliste et, dans tous les cas, annuler cette garantie.

Cette garantie est annulée dans sa totalité par toute modification du cadre ou de ses composantes.

Cette garantie s’étend à compter de la date d’achat, s’applique uniquement au premier acheteur et n’est pas transférable.

Les réclamations au titre de cette garantie doivent être faites par le détaillant. Une preuve d'achat est requise.

Cette garantie limitée est la seule garantie applicable à Forbidden Industries Ltd.

 

POLITIQUE DE REMPLACEMENT EN CAS D'ACCIDENT

Dans l'événement que nous déterminons que le dommage n'est pas le résultat d'un défaut de fabrication. On fera un remplacement disponible a vous a un prix réduit, sujet à la disponibilité et discrétion de Forbidden Bike Company.

Vous êtes responsable des frais d'expédition et de manutention pour nous retourner le produit endommagé et pour vous expédier le produit de remplacement. Tout produit endommagé qui est remplacé dans le cadre de cette clause de remplacement en cas d'accident devient la propriété de Forbidden Bike Company.
